Drawings

My mother, an artist herself, encouraged me to draw from a very young age. I've always thought that I'm best at drawing people and smallish objects than, say, animals or landscapes. I used to draw the models in magazines, or make up my own images of women wearing clothing I thought would look interesting. I haven't done a lot of drawing in the last couple of years, but I did recently find some pieces from a life drawing class in college (around 1991-1992) and thought I'd throw some of them up here for viewing. Maybe I'll add some other stuff later on.

You'll notice that the first and last drawings are not, in fact, of nude models. That's because there was a big budget freeze at the University of Maryland that year, and we ran out of money to pay the models. A bunch of us took turns posing (clothed! you gutter-minded people...sheesh!) for 15-20 minutes at a time for our fellow students, and we also were presented with a classroom skeleton one day. Hey, we made do with what we had.
