Karen's story

My name is Karen, I'm 21 years of age , and I have had problems with Fleet for the past 2 years. When I received my credit report I saw that Fleet put a mark on it saying I have not paid for over 120 days. I had money in my checking account and since I keep up with my check book up to date I had a plus $5,129.91. Somehow they were taking money out of my reserved credit with out telling me. I was studing overseas and changed my address over 4 times they never got it right!! Since I was not receiving mail from them I called their 1-800 number and they said everything looked fine. So I stopped calling. All this was going on and I was not aware.

Finally now I have been fighting like hell to get the mark off my credit report. The past 7 months I have gotten the same numbers, all I was doing was going in circles. I even went into the branches and talked with the representives and they took my number and never returned my calls. Now i finaly gotten somewhere with a representive after I was screaming and yelling on the phone, I told them their customer service sucks and I want some one to lisen to me!! They then finally said, oh, I'm sorry, I will contact "solution problems." They gave me a case number and are in the process of getting the mark of the credit report!!! After about 50 phone calls to them I have gotten somewhere. If you know anyone who is trying to take a mark off their credit report, call Fleet and tell them you need to get in contact with "solution problems"...they call you within a 24-hour period!!!

Update: I was never able to remove the 30 day late on my credit report, which still stands incorrect!!! It was 120 days late--they just lowered it to 30 days."
